Super weird

Freckles on Behavior - Thu, February 07 2008

You think my Doxie family's strange???? Wait till you read this.

CLYDE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A St. Clair County couple is having a hard time getting rid of a decapitated sheep from their property. Trudy and Mike Diller found the dead ram in a ditch near their Clyde Township home on Jan. 30. The next day, they discovered someone had cut off its head.

The Dillers called the sheriff's department to ask that it be disposed. Officials told them to call the county road commission, only to find out it couldn't help either.

The Times Herald of Port Huron reports the sheep is classified as a domestic animal, not the wildlife commonly found as road kill.

Jennifer Holton with the Michigan Department of Agriculture says the Dillers should bury the animal themselves, if they can't find the owner

Oh my gosh... That IS weird. Mom said she'd just bury the sheep herself and give him a proper place to rest instead of the side of the road!! Poor sheepy.

I am with Lola. Bury the poor thing yourself. How gruesome for someone to cut off the head. Why would someone do that??

That is really weird about the decapitation. I can't see anyone wanting to mount a sheep head on their wall. Maybe it was a satanic cult. :) There are just a lot of freaks out there. When I lived in Northwest Indiana, I remember a guy who got arrested for getting intimate with a chicken. How gross it that! I think that situation established a law that you can't have sexual relations with a farm animal.

There are a bunch of weirdos out there. I am sure someone just wanted the skull. Unfortunatly there are a bunch of people around our way that like to collect that sort of thing, Just like seeing a deer on the road without a head, someone wanted the rack.

:( That's a sad story. First I saw a dead kitty driving down my street this morning, then later a dead baby opossum, that seemed odd because it was in the middle of a very urban area... Poor animals.
