I got this email from a friend of mine. Just wanted to put it out for all to see. Maybe someone can help him...
Hello all,
I was just picking my dogs up from the kennel, and the owner was telling me about this St. Bernard (10 yrs.
old) who's in dire need of placement.
Here's his story. The St. Bernard was living with an older woman, great pet. The woman has a stroke and the St. Bernard never left her side for 16 hours, until someone found her and took her to the hospital. The woman's kids brought the dog to the kennel. Well, the woman didn't want her kids to do anything with the dog, so he stayed at the kennel for three years. Lots of love, attention, he kind of became the kennel mascot. Now, the woman has died, and the kids want to have the dog put down, because they don't want to pay the kennel bills anymore. Everyone at the kennel is just distraught.
Of course, my first inclination was to take the dog, but sometimes I actually do stop to think, and I realized that wasn't the best idea right now. But it could be for someone. So if you or anyone you know is interested in a 10 year old male St. Bernard, nice dog, great with people, in great health, let me know or contact Beverly's Precious Pets in Noblesville.
Thanks and think "Beethoven"....
