Gotta Protect Momma

This morning Beauregard and Momma were playing and Beau got pretty rough and aggressive. He started play-biting and growling and I didn't like it. I got between the two of them, gently, so he couldn't reach her. When he tried to wrestle me, and even nipping at my leg, I just stood there to protect her. Momma thought it was funny, because that's how Beau and Momma play.

He and I are still best buds, of course, and soon enough he quit when he saw some shiny object, but I didn't realize I had that strong of a protective side to me.

Awe! Bowie the Protector! I try to do the same thing, but get knocked out of the way by one of these big heathens!

Right on, Bowie! Gotta protect the ones that feed ya. I'm a GREAT Mom protector - especially when Mom, Roo and I get ambushed.

Er, don't tell my mom. I don't have a protective bone in my body...I thought that's what moms are for.

Good for you Bowie! I am the same way with my little human bi-ped sister. If she and my dad get into a tickle fest, I'm on it! I love my sister and don't want her to get hurt. Dad says that they're just playing but I just don't know... She's screaming and giggling and it upsets me, ya know. I can be very protective.
