My rain dance worked

Cisco on Activities - Sat, May 31 2008

Boy, my friends at the ranch and I worked really hard yesterday on a rain dance and it worked. You see, there was supposed to be a big fund-raising ride at the ranch today. Mom was coming out and she had volunteered me to go out on the trail rides.

But, my buds and I thought that seemed like a lot of work. We might have gone too far though. The rain made the creek come up in the pasture. Soon, I was standing up to my belly in water, but I discovered that all the other horses left for higher ground, so I had less competition for the hay bale, so I stayed and ate the hay. Me and three other horses stayed and ATE. The people at the stable had to wade out in the waist-deep water to make us leave the food. Party Poopers.

But, our trail ride was canceled and now the trails are so wet Mom might not be able to ride at all next week when she is on vacation. Luckily, Mom still came out to the stable to check on me and she brought my favorite: Peppermint treats. So, not only did I NOT have to work hard today, I got more hay and Peppermint treats.

I love my life.

You guys really over did the rain dance. I'm getting over the rain thing, but I still don't do storms. Glad you had a good day, but next time lay off a bit, okay?
