Hey, I'm Lexie at Camp Batman

Lexie -- foster dog on Activities - Sun, June 15 2008

Hello there. My name is Lexie and Foster Mom finally got off her you know what and took some photos of me.

Boy what a week it has been. I was sitting peacefully at Our Lil Bit of Heaven Animal Rescue when it started to rain and rain. Suddenly our place was an island and lots of nice people came with boats and got us out of there. I sure was scared. I didn't know what was going to happen to me.

But, now I'm at Camp Batman. I was told today I might be here awhile, at least 60-90 days. Guess I better get used to the place. There sure are a lot of rules to learn. You can't eat the cats here. That sure is disappointing. I really like cats, or um, well, I really like to play with cats. Foster Mom says it is wrong to play with them the way I do. Now, I can't be loose in the house, but sometimes Foster Mom puts the cats away and lets me loose.

I am told I am a GOOD dog (except for that one small incident with the cat, how was I to know it was important to the household?). I have been on a walk and I learned to walk beside my foster mom. She says I sure am smart.

Foster Mom hopes you will look at my photos and make guesses about what kind of dog I might be. I'm about 55 pounds and the size of a labradore. I am full grown. I run REALLY fast. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM that's me.

Welcome to Camp Batman, Lexie. As Dory says, Cats are friends, not food. Keep close tabs on Batman - he'll show you the ropes. PS: we think you might have a little Pitty / Lab mixed in you

Hi Lexie! I'm glad you're getting along well at Camp Batman. Batman's a cool dude, so you can learn lots of good things from him and your foster mom. We're glad you're okay from all the scary flooding.

Oh, and we think you have some pit in you too. Your brindle reminds us of one of our old neighbor's pits. He was so sweet!

Welcome, Lexie! Did you like riding in a boat? I think that sounds scary. My mom says there are things called "temporary commitments" that last up to 90 days, and that maybe you have been committed to the Camp Batman facility for some treatment.

Welcome to Indypaws, Lexie! You are gonna love it there! Mama said you could teach me a few things about walking beside her while on leash. I always thought I was supposed to walk in front and show Ma where to go.

I did not like the boat. I had to be in a small cage and there were other dogs in the boat and they were scared too. Foster Mom now has permission to help me find a forever home so she says it is time to step up the training and make sure I have good manners. She really wants to keep me though as she says I'm absolutely the best, smartest dog (don't tell Batman) she has worked with. But, she says if she keeps me, then she can't help other dogs.

Hi Lexie! I'm glad you're having a great time at Camp Batman. B-Man seems to be a really cool dood. I'd suggest not eating the cats. They are actually less of a bother than little dog brothers and sisters, believe it or not.

Hey there, Lexie...you sure have a happy face. 'Specially since all you've been through....boats and flooding and stuff. You're definitely at the right place now for love and attention.

Hi Lexi. I'm glad you got rescued. I hear Camp Batman is a great place. You look like a smart dog but I don't see any Pit in you. Be nice to the kitties and you'll have run of the place.

Maybe a Hound or Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix.

Hey Lexie--You're from my neck of the woods. We saw some of your friends on TV riding in the boats. It did not look like fun at all. Glad you are okay.

I'm saying definately some Catahoula. You look my pal, Hub who is 1/2 Cata, 1/4 Pit and 1/4 Black and Tan. You guys are about the same size too.

Welcome Lexie! Man, I hate water, I don't think I'd want any part in riding in a boat! Personally...I haven't a clue what type of dog you look like...other than an extremely happy pup! Welcome to IP!
