I thought she left me

Lexie -- foster dog on Activities - Mon, July 07 2008

I thought Foster Mom left me like every one else in my life. On Friday, she took me, Batman and Draco to a house and left us there! I went into the strange kennel and thought "this is it. Another kennel place to live." I told Batman I thought we had probably been sold.

Batman said we had been to this house and it is the place where we have fun and do training, but Foster Mom never left us there overnight before. Plus, Batman had to sleep in a crate and not on the bed and he did NOT like that. He was worried we might have been sold too.

The people were nice and fed me, but they weren't the same as Foster Mom.

But, she CAME BACK!!!! No one ever came back for me before. I was so excited. I could not stop wiggling. I am happy to be back at Camp Batman, that's for sure.

That's an awful feeling. I used to feel like that too when I first was adopted but now, I know they could never leave me. Who could? You'll build up your trust with your FM coming back. She won't forget you!

I get that same feeling. I'm always so shocked to see mom come get me.

That would be scary! My mom leaves me at home if she goes somewhere and Mama Muttblood comes over! How cool is that?! Mom is right, we are pretty spoiled.

My mom stayed home from Tennessee this past weekend cause the dogsitter she had for us couldn't take care of us afterall. Mom didn't want to kennel us and couldn't find another dogsitter on such short notice. So she sacrificed her trip to take care of us. I'm so glad....I love my mom!

I'm so glad you didn't get left, Lexie. I don't know your foster mom, but my mom does and she says that your foster mom isn't the leaving kind. I'm glad you're okay and back at Camp Batman!

I'm sorry you were worried, Lexie. I'm sure you were pretty confused until FM came back for you guys. Ma can picture you wiggling like crazy when you saw her coming!

Dude, you should have called us! we already had a Wasset here so what difference does a Puggie baby and a pair of cockers make? Tell your mom to speak up next time so she can get some help:-)

this was the first time I had to stay somewhere that wasn't Mom's house or her friend Patrick's house. I was NOT happy. I could not sleep on the bed. Imagine, I had to sleep all night in a crate like a common dog. I am used to certain creature comforts and I can't believe Mom just left me somewhere that didn't have bedroom priveledges.

That is just plain wrong. And mostly why Mom won't kennel us. She really does spoil us! She says our lives were hard enough before she got us that she doesn't want us to stress out anymore than is necessary. All her friends and some of her family think she's completely nuts, but I love her for it!

Blitzen, how in the world could my mom do that to your mom and dad? Trust me, a pug and a pair of cockers will rock your world! But Mom says thank you for the offer and she'll keep that in mind.

I'm so happy your mom came back for you! Maddie always says that our mom will always come back, but I don't believe her until I see mom. When you have been left/moved so many times it kind of sticks in your mind. You have a good mom.

I understand that you are not a common dog and all, but don't ever get the idea that you can camp out over here. PS---there is a nice picture of you and your mom at the link for the Pawsitive Partners event that I didn't get to go to.
