Sorry to hear about your puppy issues. Charlie had to have a bunch of stuff taken care of when he was little, but he wasn't from a breeder... From a not-so-good shelter instead.
We hope your puppy gets through this and that breeder stops breeding. Penelope had parvo when we got her. We found out 3 or 4 days after we brought her home. She had coccidia, giardia, roundworms, upper resp infection and pneumonia, too. She almost didn't make it. We had to bleach everything. A $25 fecal test would have at least let us start treatment sooner. We will be praying for you and your puppy.
Weren't we just talking about Barton's last week in the "Irresponsible Breeder" post? Problems with liver shunts and contagious parasites - a vet that would not recommend them anymore. This is a frightening and terrible experience! We all hope that your be'be gets well soon, and we know that your darling Suzette will look after you throughout the ordeal. xoxo
I have received alot of wonderful posts from my fellow animal lovers - THANK YOU! I felt obligated to tell my story in hopes that it will help others from finding themselves in this situation. I did contact the breeder and she is claiming that my vet is wrong even though the breeder's vet agreed with my vet's diagnosis. So, we incurring all costs. Originally the vet suspected Liver Shunt but it has been ruled out for now (liver shunt can show up anytime during the first year or two)The puppy is CKC registered and I have been on their website but didn't see anywhere to file a complaint but will look further into it. The saving grace in all of this is the wonderful care and support my little one is receiving from my vet and her staff! I highly recommend Westwood Animal Hospital in Brownsburg!
