Spot cleaners

I have another question while I'm at it. I got sick on the carpet this weekend and my mom, while cleaning it up, said she'd like to have a handheld spot cleaner. I think I might talk dad into getting her one as a gift. Do any of you recommend one that's good on pet messes and stains?

I have heard good things about the bissell handheld. we dont' have one, but i'm considering it as well. hope you feel better oscar. :)

We're thinking about getting one, too, but haven't really done any research yet.

My mom's sister used to have Hoover Steam Vac and she loved it until the explosive diarrhea incident of 2005. She cleaned as much as she could and then called Stanley Steemer to sanitize and deodorize the entire rug.

Some friends of mine swear by their little green steam machine. I can't remember who makes them. I think they run $50.

Oh yes, the Bissell Little green machine. My sister had one of those, too. I think she really liked it.
