Golden Finches

I remember someone posting a while back that they hadn't seen many of these little beauties this year. My Mom loves sunflowers and has at least 10 different types planted all over our backyard. Just now while having my morning coffee, playing fetch w/ hoghead and putting Jordan out for his morning nature walk. I noticed a "family" of Golden Finches that appear to be nested in our pine trees that love to nibble on Mom's sunflowers. Unfortuneatly I haven't been able to get any good pictures of this yet. My advice to anyone who loves watching Golden Finches is to plant a flower bed of sunflowers next spring.
