Buddy on My Blog - Mon, August 04 2008

I like things to be normal. I like knowing what is going to happen when. I like knowing where my people are going to be.
Today was not like that.
The man went out early, the way he usually does, but then he didn't come back. Usually he feeds us in the morning, and then he goes in his car. The lady feeds us at night. I like it when she rubs my back to let me know it's ok to eat. But then the man is supposed to come home!
I went to the lady. I was worried about the man. Suppose he was lost? She said something or another. Later we all got in the car and drove and drove. We went someplace where there were big things flying in the air. I stuck my nose outside the window. I sniffed for the man. He wasn't there the first time, so we circled around again.
There were lots of other people. They were not the man. I barked and sniffed some more. "Where's Daddy?" the lady said. Darned if I knew.
Finally, after we went round and round, there he was! Hurray! Abby wagged her tail. I licked his face. He rode with us all the way home. When he got out, he did the things he normally does. We're going upstairs soon. I'm glad that he's home. Sure wish people understood that they should be more predictable!

Dude, we have had those problems on this site before. You better make sure to get your Daddy chipped so when he wanders off again, you can help him find his way back home. That was a close call.

Your dad musta had his collar and tags. How'd he get outta the fence? You better check on that. It's really a good idea to have him chipped too...ya can't be too careful.
