I let people pet me!

Last night at training I let all the humans pet me (one at a time of course). FM says I have come such a long way. I even wagged my tail at the people. All the nice people had treats and lovings for me and they all said I was a GOOD Dog.

Warren even taught me to weave between his legs and FM just about fell over because I am now so trusting that I would do that.

Then, a dog got loose at training and ran right toward me. FM started having palpatations because I have been snarky at our next door neighbor's dog. But, I wagged my tail and sniffed the loose dog's butt and didn't even raise a single hackle. I got almost a half a bag of hot dogs for that one. I said, "Bring on the loose dogs, I want more treats.!"

So, I just wanted to give a shout out to Warren of Doggone Connection www.doggoneconnection.com. FM says I will make a wonderful pet and after my last class she is going to put my adoption clothes on and start taking me to events.

FM said she still would be nervous if I just went around sniffing butts. But, I would probably like you.

Good job, Lexie!! We're proud of you! It takes a lot of courage to do all that! I took treats from the people at the vet today, and mom was really proud of me for that. She stole some treats from the jar they had and worked on my sit, down and stay commands while we were waiting for the vet. Mom is starting to take advantage of any training opportunity she can get where we're not at home. I get nervous like you around new people, so I act differently when we're out somewhere than I do at home.

Dad says that I need to get the first butt smell in when I meet a strange dog. We all know that doggy email hangs there for us to pick up.

Maybe I should make Mom take me there for school. I probably would have snarked at that butt sniffer.
