Scuffing

Buddy on My Blog - Sat, August 09 2008

Scuffing, I think, can be highly under-rated. Some dogs don't even do it! I scuff after every time I pee on something in grass. I like to really stretch my back legs out and dig in and Scuff!
The best stuff, though, the stuff you can really get your moves into, is the shredded redwood stuff that covers the dirt, also called 'gorilla hair'. You can get that stuff really flying! It becomes so airborne I don't want to stop! I scuff and scuff and piles of it float in the air like snow or something! It's fabulous!
(Mom's note: oh yeah, fabulous.)

Now I don't usually do that but mom's little Andy did. Mom calls it "wiping the feet". Mom hated it when he did that in a neighbor's yard and the owner was outside watching.

I don't scuff when I potty, but I scuff when I get excited! Like when Mommy is playing with me or when I'm getting a cookied, or just when I want to do something and I start to get excited. Everybody laughs when I do it, they think I'm acting like a little bull, but with my back legs instead of my front legs. hee xoxo FiFi

Just an FYI...the official word for this in the wolf world is scraping. As in "Maddie scraped some loose poop into my face yesterday."

She did?? How enjoyable for you!! Bet you felt like YOU were in the Swine Barn at the State Fair. I was! I'm posting a picture of that world's largest hog on my page when I get home later. :) xoxo D
