I'm at work!

Batman on Activities - Tue, September 09 2008

Mom took me to the office today! She says I may have been annoying someone in the neighborhood because I bark at that pesky bunny that hops in the yard. Darn it, I almost had him this morning. He was right at the back door when Mom let me out and we raced to the fence, but the bunny won and made it through.

But, during the day when I am in my kennel, those bunnies can just hop anywhere in the yard. So sometimes I bark.

Mom says my bark is nicer than the kids in the daycare behind our house who scream when playing outside which always makes Mom think someone is injured.

So, here I am a working dog for the day. So far, I have sniffed under everyone's desk and checked out the trash cans. Nothing too interesting yet. I helped Mom make coffee and now I'm sitting by the top of the steps waiting for my friend Rachel to get to work. She will be so excited when she sees me. She lets me sit in her office and she gives me TONS of belly rubs when I come to work.

You can't believe the stuff you get at work. People let me eat their snacks. Everyone wants to pet me and they fight over whose office I get to be in next. Wait until lunch time. I'll score big then.

Dude. I thought Kirby was the lucky one-- and now I hear this??? When is my mommy gonna take ME to work?? I'd be so good & quiet and I wouldn't smell up the place! *pouting* Come on mom, help a fella out here!

OK, my afternoon report from work is: Work is hard! They don't play with toys here! People sit at their desks and they pet me, but they can't get up and play! What kind of place is this?

I'm getting bored. Mom took me on a walk at lunch and on her afternoon tea run (just so she could show people how good I am at 'stay' she made me do a stay outside of the gas station where she got tea).
