I know this is off the subject of your post but I just went through your profile pictures for your girls. We are adopting another female beagle tomorrow and I wanted to see how your girls interact with each other. I see that they play together, lay around together according to the pictures. Daisy loves to play but her playing is running around and being chased by another beagle. I don't know if she will want to wrestle with Louise. Of course I don't know if Louise would want to wrestle with Daisy. If they don't that is fine with me. Do you have any tips for me when the 2 girls get together? My son's 2 male beagles wrestle hard and that scares Daisy.
Hello , I think it all has to do with the personalities of the dogs . Heidi is very dominant although Gretchen makes all of the noise and is the older of the two . They have been together since the end of April and it has been wonderful . They will wrestle for hours and wear each other out . They are like kids and sometimes Heidi pushes Gretchen too far( Gretchen will growl but Heidi doesn't pay any attention and takes her bones/toys anyway !)When they get gripey I put them in each crate with a bone till they are ready to play again. When we got Gretchen from the Shelbyville shelter we introduced them and they got along very quickly. The pic of them in the chair was the 2nd or third day we had Gretchen ( Heidi was a puppy gift on Christmas eve . I hadn't though about a 2nd one but Heidi would get so bored that I watched petfinder for a German Short Haired pointer and loved her face so I asked for her for our anniversary .
Lucky beagles to have you - I would ask Dacsaholic or mama mutt blood for tips . They really know many types of dog personalities. The best of luck to your doggies - I hope they are the greatest of friends .
