Hello friends. I have some good news. I just had my second interview with the Humane Society of Hamilton county. It seemed to go pretty good. I think she liked my responses to the behavior questions. We did a behind the scenes tour and watched a temp test. I am now totally in love with the dog! Beautiful female Akita that's 9 years old and so well behaved. Great dog and would even recommend for kids if you know anybody wanting a sweet smart girl like her. Already knows basic commands and manners too. Awesome dog as are all the dogs up there. They seemed to have quite a few new ones since I was last up there but some had gotten adopted as well. They have a ton of kitties needing homes too. I fell in love with a 6 week old Tuxedo named Tux. I just wanted to kiss his little face but managed to restrain myself. Anyway, they have another job opening as well for a Marketing manager. Here's the link if you or anyone you know might be interested http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/pet/841928867.html Thanks for all the good thoughts and paw crossing. It must be working. Keep them tight a little longer:-) Oh, and Holden the HW+ dog that had been there for 5 months finally got his foster home so he can begin treatment! Yippee for Holden-he's so cute!
Oh, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! I so hope you get the job. I think you'd be perfect for it, Miss Monica! Will you be coming to Paws in the Park Saturday? I'm taking Deuce and we're going to go at 10am. I hope to see you and some of our other IP friends! :-)
Second interviews are a good sign! I bet it would be hard for them to find an applicant more dedicated to the welfare of those critters. Fingers crossed, and I'll have Lily and Westley cross their paws too.
