I saw this posted on Petfinder under found pets, and thought I would pass it along to all of you out there on the eastside. It breaks my heart!!
PLEASE READ: I was abandoned by my family at Paul Russert Park(Post/German Chucrh) and have sat patiently by the side of the road for a month waiting for their return. I'm living in the woods of the park on the backside off Muessing Rd. I've roamed the area of the park fo a month and have survived. I have left food out for this boy in hopes of coaxing him to me (I live across the street on Muessing Rd) and he mad it half way up my driveway then bolted back to the woods. He seems to be drawn in by other dogs barking/playing. I know he's very lonely and probably very hungry and next week the weather is going to be very cold at night. I have found (3)dogs dumped at the park and placed them, but due to fighting cancer I'm unable to try and catch/place this guy myself. All I can do is watch from my bedroom window. Traps won't work as the racoons would be what is caught. I'm praying that some other dogs lovers out there could help and try to catch him with kindness...he's been through enough. He is tan and intact...no collar. There are walking paths through the park on the side he frequents. It's hard for me to get healthy when I worry about him everyday. Thank you....Georgie
I live on the East side. Where, exactly, is he? I'm not familiar with the park... Looking at the map, I'm guessing he's around the southeast corner of the park? PM me if you want.
Woops, now that I've re-read this, I realize you're not the person I should be asking... I'm going to email Georgie and see what I can do. My mother is very ill right now, but maybe I can help.
