He looks like a mini-me! No crooked ear though... but close enough.

No way, my place would be destroyed! An Alvin is way worse than any toddler as they don't have nearly the climbing and jumping ability that he has.

HAHAHAHA!!! Somehow, after talking to you about Alvin, I thought not! :)

I have two carpeted panels that run up the walls of the cat room. You should see those kittens run up and down those things!! I was going to put ledges on them, but I think those would've just interrupted the traffic flow on the "kitten highway"!

When Alvin and his brothers were just wee little kittens, they used to climb my pants legs and chase each other like squirrels! My poor legs looked like I'd been wrestling in rose bushes.

Needless to say, they started experiencing claw trimming at a young age. Worked out well, actually... Alvin is the best behaved when it's trim time, he just sits patiently and recives his paw-d-cure.

I think I need to get some claw clippers! My kittens nails are fairly long. I've never trimmed cat nails before though!

It's not too hard with some decent claw-specific clippers (not the kind meant for human nails).

Just cut off the sharp tip, don't worry about getting them short as kittens are too squirmy for that. When you work with them more, they'll become more tolerant. Also be prepared for the kitten to sound like you're killing it, even before you've clipped anything! That's just the way kittens are. They learn pretty quick that if they sit still, it's over faster and they can go back to playing.
