I've got the itchiest crew around since adding the two new foster dogs. Reese is a little better than Baxter and hers is just due to poor care. Baxter though is so itchy from the allergies that it's just making him crazy. I got two good suggestions from another pet forum. Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be very good for the itchies. Sounds like it would sting but she said No and she's used it for 25 years with great success. Also something called BioAllers. They have it at the health food store in a grass relief formula. You just put a few drops under their tongue. I'm going to try to get both of these tonight.
I found a great product at Wipe Your Pawz yesterday. It's made by EcoPure Naturals and it's called Herbal Skin Creme. It's not stinky nor greasy and seems to really help. You can feel his skin cool down after I put it on(no alcohol in it either). The only problem with it is that it's a smallish bottle and I can't really dump the whole thing on him. I do have him pretty covered with it. No grease and dries almost instantly. It was less than $6 and is worth at least twice that for the relief he's getting. I've also put it on Reese, Blitzen and Cocoa with great results. Excellent for smaller areas esp. if you don't like the greasiness or smell of Sulfodene(works great but stinky!). I'll get their profiles up soon. You'll be amazed at how much Sweetie and Reese look alike. And Baxter so cute-fat and mostly bald and pink.
Awwwww, so sorry that our Paulina Ballerina has got the itch-monster again!!! Tell her Mick said that she needs to have you give her lots of yummy treats to help her get rid of it. Cookies will make the itch-monster go away.. :) Mick
