I had a party today!!

When mom went to work today, she must have been in a hurry, and she made one crucial error. She forgot to lock the crate that my brother and I stay in during the day. Well needless to say, it didn't take us long to figure out how to get out. Boy did we have fun too!! We chewed up several of mom's books, rummaged through the garbage, ate a puzzle, ate a whole bag of treats, and just basically made a mess of the place. Boy was it fun. I can't remember the last time we had that much fun. You should have seen the look on dad's face when he came home, priceless. He didn't yell too much because we didn't destroy his stuff, only mom's. He just kind of laughed and took some pictures, while mom yelled at us. She told us we couldn't have any treats today. That's not fair, we Beagles just had a little fun today, that's all. The punishment doesn't fit the crime.

Wow...that really does sound like fun. I used to be in a cage when I was younger, but I promised to be really, really good, and Mom and Dad said they could trust me, so now I have the run of the living room. I have really good bladder control, but my sister, Peaches, doesn't, so she has to stay in the kitchen. Sorry about the no treats thing....maybe if you look at your Mom really, really sad, she'll give in.

Mom says that the first time I was let out of my cage by accident, I ate the wallpaper off the kitchen wall. She was pretty upset with that, but I'm sure I got treats anyway. It was really fun. By the way, I didn't eat the wallpaper, I just tore it off the wall. It really tasted kinda yucky.
