Coupla hounds name of Perl and Beau
Were sniffin' around at their new chateau.
Came across prints looked like a split hoof.
Took one whiff and raised the roof.
Saw a brown critter that looked really big
Had a head topped with an electric line rig.
In a flash they were racing like The Stig
And howling loudly, too.

Run like hell; no sense in creeping.

Followed it back to behind the big shed.
But it wasn't there; Perl scratched her head.
They found some spoor and a bit of sign.
Beauregard said it tasted mighty fine.
Perl dipped her head and caught the scent
And realized where that darn deer went.
She snuck around to the front of the shed.
The deer looked up in surprise.
Shoulda seen the size of its eyes!

They chased that critter around to the front
While baying so loud at this impromptu hunt.
The deer stopped cold in the gravel drive
When into it pulled a BMW M5.
Turned around quick and it sprinted so fast
Paw pads burned as it fled on past.
They'll chase their prey through any fens and glens
'Cause the woods go on forever and the hunting never ends.
