Pebbles the wonder dog on My Blog - Mon, July 30 2007

Someone help me. They're starving me to death!!!! Mom fed us instead of Grandpa and we only got 1/4 cup of food. Doesn't she know Grandpa's vision isn't that good and he just fills the bottom of the bowl? What was she thinking? This body was not built on a few dry bits of food a day! Mom totally ignored me while she was talking to grandpa. I tried everything to get her attention. First I eyeballed her over and over. Then I started barking at her. Grandpa told her that I was just jealous of Pablo and that's why I was barking. No, it's because I'm starving to death and I'm using my last dying breath to communicate. Then I started moving the food bowls around. Pablo's is easy because it's a small metal one but mine is ceramic. Not too easy for a little dog to physically move a big ceramic bowl. But I did move it around and spun it and everything. Do you think I got some food as a reward for my tricks? Um, still NO! Finally mom broke down and gave us some breath biscuits to make our breath smell better. I wasn't worried about my stinky breath. I was stressed about my shrinking tummy. I hope Grandpa feeds us tomorrow. I'd hate to lose my girlishly round figure:-)Wish me luck!

You poor thing....I know exactly where you're coming from...sometimes, when my mom feeds me, I don't get enough to even make my tummy think it might be full. I like it when Dad feeds us....yeah, all the way up to the top. Yummmmmmmm! Then dessert too.

Yep, Dad is a lot more liberal than mom, but she doesn't let him feed us very often. Pebbles, one of my favorite things to do to speed the whole process along is to use my paws to fling each of our bowls across the room in a loud and vigorous manner. As mom was writing this I had to get her attention about the darn water bowl. It makes a very satisfying noise when I thwack it into the refrigerator. And we get improved service that way. xoxo Maddie

You're lucky....neither mom OR dad give us any extra. Now Grandma....that's another story!

Mom is the one who slacks on the measuring of my food! Dad tries to get on mom about that...but he's the one who sneaks us the popcorn.

I feel your pain Pebbles. Ever since the stupid vet put me on this "special" diet for my bladder problems I only get one small scoop each day! I used to have an automatic feeder back in the good ole' days. Mom just filled it up and I was in an all you can eat kitty buffet heaven! Oh how I miss it!!

Yeah we need to do something about your mom Pebbles! She is totally going over board with this feeding thing. She was just telling my mom how I look like I am packing a little more "junk in the trunk" and she needs to put me on the green bean diet! See if I ever come over and play with your stupid foster again!
