A Terrible Bad Thing

Sydney on My Blog - Sun, October 21 2007

As you can see, a terrible bad thing has happened to me and it was captured on film. This is a picture of me in a moose costume. Mom put it on me, then had the nerve to laugh at me and run for the camera while she put me on a SIT STAY. Do you know what she said? She said, "Oh Sydney, you look like a pancake," and laughed as though she had nothing to do with it. She also said I looked like the Wife of Bath or some medieval nun. I wasn't having nun, I tell you that. Maddie came in and laughed at me, too. I feel so humiliated. My own sister, the queen of the Costume Intervention, just laughed at me, and made no attempt to tear it off or help in any way. I am so humiliated. I will understand if you don't want to be the friend of a pancake.

Sydney, is your right eye about to bulge out of your head? Wow. You look stressed out. At least my humiliating costume had a mask and you couldn't see my expression. I'm sorry dearie. Join the club of "My parents should be ashamed of themselves."

Yes, Freckles, it was bulging out of my head. I was trying so hard to escape it. Imagine being swallowed by a moose. It was a little like Maggie being eaten by a lizard.

You do look pretty funny. I'm glad nobody's putting any silly costumes on me. You remind me of Winnie the Pooh.

You poor baby....I can't believe that Maddy didn't tear it off of you and rip it to shreds. I'm thinking she's all woof and no action now. I think you look really cute though and I'll be your friend whether you're a moose or a pancake.

Poor, poor Sydney! You'll never have to wear that moose again because you know where it's at?! It's at MY HOUSE!! My mother bought it and some bee costume from your mom. Her and Alex were putting them on all of us and laughing! They didn't put the moose on me, just the bee. It wasn't too bad because it had no hat. I got lucky. Minnie got to wear the moose. Butch must have wronged them in some way because they put both of them on him. Now, it was pretty funny because they were way too small! Mom will be posting our pics sometime soon.

So far, other than my hat, my mom's resisted dressing us up. It's getting close to Halloween though, stuff is going on sale... Uh oh... I'll be under the couch if anyone needs me.

Awww Sydney - poor baby. At least those costumes are gone now so the torture won't continue. Perhaps your Mom should give you extra treats to make up for the humiliation??

Poor Sydney. You sure gave Mom a good laugh. Freckles, you looked adorable in the paper today.
