I know we have a lot of football/Colts fans. Does anybody else love to watch the World Series? My dad, who has crossed the human equivalent of the Rainbow Bridge a long time ago, always called it The World Serious :) He was in the hospital during the 1979 World Series, when the Pittsburgh Pirates won, and he would always ask me about the games. He couldn't watch because he was in Intensive Care, and they didn't allow TV's. He loved all baseball, but especially loved the Pirates. Unfortunately he died before they finally won, but this time of year always gives me fond memories of him, and I always try to watch as many of the games as I can, regardless of who is playing. The only team I sort of follow during the regular season is the St. Louis Cardinals, because their manager, Tony LaRussa, is a very dedicated pet advocate, and has a foundation for pets called ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation.)
