About Me: Hunter (hubby), Carolina and I moved here in the summer of '07. Carolina is my sweet baby girl. Checkers was our first rescue and he was with us for 10 years. We miss him daily and have conferred sainthood upon him. My husband and I can't/won't go to breeders when so many dogs need rescuing. I seem to be a stray dog magnet. My allergist told me I should get rid of my dogs, so I got rid of my allergist. When I was a kid, I told my mom, I didn't want kids, I wanted puppies...now, I wouldn't mind a kid, too.

Pet-peeves: Ignorance, mud, money, paying full retail, being far from family

Favorite Walk: This is a memory: One summer, years ago, Checkers was still strong, Carolina was young, Kaya was very young, and my family and I were on the beach in the Outer Banks, NC. The dogs and I ran up and down the beach in and out of the surf...it was their first trip to the ocean and they went crazy with glee. Random people were taking pictures and videotaping them.
